These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Swarajya AI platform and citizen service applications ("Platform") operated by Swarajya AI Private Limited ("Swarajya AI", "we", "us") on behalf of local government bodies.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of Service
The Platform is a digital citizen service and assistance platform operated by Swarajya AI Private Limited as a technology provider for local government bodies. It is designed to assist citizens in filing grievances, accessing government service information, submitting service requests, and receiving status updates.
The Platform does not itself constitute a government authority. Government services, approvals, certifications, and formal decisions are provided by the relevant local government body and its authorised officers.
2. No Final Decision by AI
The Platform includes an AI assistant. AI-generated responses, classifications, department suggestions, and service guidance are provided for assistance purposes only.
No AI-generated output on the Platform constitutes a final, official, or legally binding decision of any government authority. Final approvals, rejections, sanctions, certificates, payment confirmations, and legal actions are made exclusively by authorised government officers or applicable government systems in accordance with applicable law.
Citizens must not rely solely on AI-generated responses for any legal, financial, or official purpose. Always verify critical information through official government channels.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for providing accurate, truthful, and complete information when using the Platform. Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information for government service requests is prohibited and may be subject to action under applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@swarajya.tech if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Prohibited Use
You must not use the Platform to:
- File false, fabricated, or malicious complaints or service requests
- Submit abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content
- Impersonate any person, officer, government authority, or entity
- Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, government systems, or other users' accounts
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Use the Platform for spam, unsolicited communications, or commercial solicitation
- Exploit the Platform for political campaigning, propaganda, or non-civic purposes
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Platform without express written permission
Violations of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement where applicable.
5. Government Services Disclaimer
Service timelines, approvals, certificates, payment processing, and grievance closure are the responsibility of the concerned government department and depend on departmental capacity, applicable rules, and the accuracy of information submitted by the citizen.
Swarajya AI does not guarantee specific timelines for government action, grant approvals, issue certificates, process payments independently, or commit the government body to any particular outcome. Citizens must follow the official processes and timelines specified by the relevant government authority.
6. Payments
Where the Platform facilitates payment of government dues — such as property tax, water charges, or other civic fees — payment processing is handled by authorised third-party payment gateways or government treasury systems, not directly by Swarajya AI.
By initiating a payment through the Platform, you agree to the terms of the applicable payment gateway. Swarajya AI does not store full card numbers, bank account details, or UPI credentials. Disputes regarding payment amounts, dues calculations, or receipts must be addressed to the concerned government department.
7. User Content Licence
By uploading photographs, documents, audio, video, or other content to the Platform as part of a service request or grievance, you grant Swarajya AI and the relevant government body a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and transmit that content for the purpose of delivering the requested government service.
This licence does not authorise use of your uploaded content for advertising, AI model training on your personal data, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of the government service for which it was submitted.
8. Suspension and Misuse
Swarajya AI and the government body reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform for accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, or pose a risk to the Platform, other users, or government systems.
Suspected misuse may be referred to the relevant government authority or law enforcement.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Swarajya AI shall not be liable for:
- Delays, errors, or decisions made by government departments or officers
- Service interruptions caused by government system downtime, network outages, or third-party provider failures
- Loss or corruption of data caused by events outside our reasonable control
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the Platform
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India, as determined by the applicable contract or application deployment terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published at this URL with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after such publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
