Swarajya AI operates an AI assistant within its citizen service platform. This disclaimer explains how the AI assistant functions, what it is authorised to do, and where its limitations lie. Citizens, officers, and application reviewers should read this carefully.
What the AI Assistant Does
The Swarajya AI assistant is designed to help citizens navigate government services more easily. It may:
- Process citizen queries: Accept questions about government services, civic processes, eligibility criteria, and required documents
- Classify and route grievances: Analyse grievance descriptions to suggest the appropriate department or category for routing
- Provide service guidance: Explain application steps, documentation requirements, and process sequences for common government services such as birth certificate issuance, property tax payment, and facility booking
- Summarise service status: Provide citizens with updates on the status of submitted requests
- Assist with service workflows: Guide users through multi-step service request submission
The AI assistant processes user inputs — including questions, grievance descriptions, and uploaded information — along with relevant government service information to generate its responses.
What the AI Assistant Does NOT Do
The following are outside the scope and authority of the AI assistant:
No final decisions. The AI assistant does not make final approvals, rejections, sanctions, or legally binding determinations. All official decisions — including grant or denial of certificates, approvals, licences, or exemptions — are made by authorised government officers through applicable government systems and processes.
No payment authorisation. The AI assistant does not process, authorise, or confirm government payments. Payment transactions are handled by authorised payment gateways or government treasury systems.
No legal advice. The AI assistant does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or representations about your legal rights or obligations beyond explaining publicly available government service information.
No guaranteed accuracy. Like all AI systems, the Swarajya AI assistant may produce incorrect, incomplete, or outdated outputs. Government service rules, fees, documents required, and timelines change. Always verify critical information — especially for legal, financial, or official purposes — through official government channels, government websites, or by visiting the concerned government office.
No substitute for official process. Submitting a query to the AI assistant, receiving a classification suggestion, or being told a request has been routed does not constitute an official service application or guarantee any government action.
Limitations
Citizens and officers should be aware of the following technical and operational limitations:
- The AI assistant's knowledge of government service rules is based on available training data and may not reflect the most recent policy changes, fee revisions, or procedural updates
- The assistant may misclassify a grievance or suggest an incorrect department; citizens should confirm the routing by tracking the request after submission
- The assistant operates in multiple languages and translation quality may vary; responses in Indian languages should be verified if they relate to official documents or legal rights
- The assistant is not able to independently access live government databases, real-time document status systems, or court records; it can only relay information that has been made available to it
Responsible Use
To get the most accurate and useful responses:
- Provide clear, factual descriptions of your query or grievance
- Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information — such as full financial account numbers, detailed health records, or politically sensitive content — unless the specific government service form explicitly requires it
- Cross-check AI-generated document checklists and fee information against the official government service portal or the concerned department before taking action
Reporting Incorrect or Harmful Outputs
If the AI assistant produces a response that is:
- Factually incorrect in a way that could mislead a citizen about their government service rights
- Offensive, threatening, discriminatory, or abusive
- Seemingly designed to deceive or manipulate
- Otherwise harmful or in violation of applicable law
