This Cancellation Policy applies to Swarajya AI Private Limited and any Swarajya AI-deployed citizen service application that supports cancellable transactions. The swarajya.tech marketing website does not offer subscriptions, recurring charges, orders, bookings, or any other cancellable service; this policy is published so that the relevant URLs are in place when individual municipal applications begin accepting transactions.
No Subscriptions or Cancellable Services on This Site
The swarajya.tech website provides informational content only. It has no subscriptions, no recurring charges, no orders, and no bookings or appointments. There is nothing on this site that a visitor can cancel.
Per-App Cancellation Policies
Each Swarajya AI-deployed citizen service application that supports cancellable transactions will publish its own cancellation policy at /legal/<app-slug>/cancellation when it goes live. That policy will cover:
a) Which services can be cancelled and within what window
- Facility reservations (sports courts, community halls, etc.) — typically cancellable up to a defined cut-off period before the booking date
- Service appointment slots — cancellable up to the prescribed notice period set by the relevant department
- Recurring payment mandates — cancellable at any time before the next charge date
- Specific scheme-based payments where the scheme rules permit cancellation
b) Cancellation methods
- In-app cancellation through the self-service cancellation flow (where available)
- Web portal cancellation
- Contacting the concerned municipal officer through the app's in-app contact channel
c) Any cancellation fees retained by the municipality
- Some bookings or reservations may carry a non-refundable processing fee as determined by the relevant municipal authority
- App-specific policies will disclose applicable fees at the time of booking
d) Refund treatment on cancellation
- Where a cancelled service results in a refund, the refund is processed per the corresponding Refund Policy (
/legal/refund) - Refunds for cancelled bookings are typically processed to the original payment instrument within 7–14 business days
Service Requests and Grievances
A service request submitted to a government department — such as a grievance, certificate application, or licence application — cannot generally be "cancelled" once it has been received and acknowledged by the relevant department. Government procedural rules govern what actions are available after submission.
Where the relevant Swarajya AI application supports withdrawal or closure of a service request, the citizen may use that in-app workflow. Withdrawal does not guarantee the return of any fees paid; fee refundability is determined by the receiving department's rules.
Account Closure
Closing or deactivating your Swarajya AI account in any application is governed by the Data Deletion Policy at /legal/data-deletion, not this Cancellation Policy. Account closure does not automatically cancel any pending service requests or bookings; those must be cancelled separately before or after account closure per the app-specific workflow.
